Harbour View Hotel - 19 December 2008
Saturday, 20 December 2008
This was the first time out for a while and we discovered that we didn't have the light controller - got it back today from the Three Horse Shoes. Nevertheless, we set up and the response to the first 3 numbers was very poor. However, it got better and better from there on. I guess that Seaham folk take a while to warm up. We'll certainly be back!

Newfield Inn - 22 November 2008
Sunday, 23 November 2008

It was great to be back at the Newfield Inn. It was quiet when we arrived but filled up on cue and a good gig was had by all. It was a good to meet Keith Johnson, the drummer from Skint - I'll try to catch one of  their gigs. And we beat the snow on the way home!

Waste my time why don't ya!
Wednesday, 05 November 2008

As a follow up to the person who alleged he would come to see us at the Borough, I gave him a call. The thing is I keep a record of tracking down gigs:

21/7/07 09:57 - Rang * and he offered giigs for 18 Aug 2007, 20 and 27 October - can't do any because of pre-existing gigs. He to ring in around 6 weeks to book for next year.

17/9/07 19:14 - he will be giving me a call in the next 2-3 weeks

28/9/07 11:08 - nr - rang mobile - left message12:18 - to book us next week?

14/11/07 10:44 - he'll get something sorted out as soon as he can?

1/12/07 13:44 - trouble with noise - not booking - !

16/10/08 13:09 - to come and see us at the Borough

20/10/08 11:32 - left message

27/10/08 20:50 - spoke to * - he said "okay then - what do you do?". I replied "Rock, Soul and R & B". He said "The Soul and R & B wont go down". I said "So you don't want to book us". "No", he replied.

But whatever happens, do feel free to waste my time why don't ya!

New Gigs
Tuesday, 21 October 2008
As you can see from the Live page a slew of new gigs have appeared for the remainder of the year and into 2009. Perhaps we'll get some bookings in those hard to reach places - a bit like cleaning round the S bend!

The Borough - 19 October 2008
Tuesday, 21 October 2008
Despite threatened strong winds (!) and a visit from Gary of the Turb*n*a (all b*llocks - no show), we had a really enjoyable gig at the Borough. We always seem to have a cracking gig here. This intimate (tiny to you) venue seems to take off nicely from aroud 9:30pm - it is a pleasure to play as always!
