We continue our onward march. This gig was on and then off (because of a darts match) and then on again and the audience wasn't as big as we'd have liked as a consequence. However, they were a very appreciative audience and the bar staff were well impressed. The only downside was "bouncing" the new powered mixer off the floor - it is so light that it slid off the table. Still, no serious harm done and testing it later, all seems okay. In any case I'll carry the old one until I'm sure. We now have the CD! |

From any perspective a cracking gig. First gig with the new PA and boy, does it do the business. It seems to give us an edge we didn't have before. Add to that the warm welcome from Helga and an appreciative audience and I would rank it as one of the best gigs this year. May there be many more! |

Just got asked to do a slot at the Appleby Beer and Blues Festival on 16th September 2006 between 3 and 4pm. We are looking forward to this one. All proceeds in aid of the Cumbria Air Ambulance. |

All the gigs here are different. Good sized crowd considering recent showings and very appreciative. As always, Jeanette was the perfect host and we even won half price refreshments on the "Wheel of Fortune". Now the boys are off for a well earned break - but we'll be back on 2 September at the Queen Head, Annfield Plain. |
