Long standing drummer for Bluessential, Graham Jordan, is moving on. Bluessential started in 2002 as a hobby but has really stepped up its gigging in the last year. Founder of the band, Lambert Johnson, said “We are sorry to lose Graham but we felt that Graham’s work commitments meant we needed to bring in another drummer and we felt that constant substitute drummers wouldn’t work. Graham has been tireless in promoting the band and it was a very difficult decision for us all. He has made an outstanding contribution and we wish him well in new ventures that don’t have such a heavy gigging schedule.” Bluessential continues to bring its brand of rock, rhythm and blues to venues throughout the North East and beyond with a new drummer, Willie “sticks” Taylor - ex Legend (the band not that he was once a legend). The band is fronted by Screaming James Benton (vocals, sweet sax and great harps) ably supported by Lambert on guitar and the excellent bass work of Theo “the mole” Adams.
