We thought we'd found the new bass player. The guy came for an audition which was lacklustre and, unfortunately, threw a wobbler at his own playing at the end of it. But, we'd been told that he was a good player and he seemed enthusiastic. So we decided to give it a go. What a mistake. This person, who shall remain nameless, turned up to listen at a gig and then left at the end of the first set. He texted me saying it was not for him and there was "nothing to keep me interested". He'd heard the band at the audition, listened to the demos and tried the stuff. What a timewaster! So the job's still open. Timewasters need not apply!
