We arrived at the gig tonight at the Causeway, Hartlepool early (6:45pm) to set up the PA and drums to find PA, drums, keyboards and lights set up for another band "Steel River Blues". Apparently, someone? had contacted the landlord two weeks ago (after the receipt of a confirmation letter and posters), purporting to be a member of the band, saying that we had split up. By coincidence, Steel River Blues (formerly Gypo) were looking for a cancellation. I guess that our loss was their gain. We have a good idea who is responsible.
